A message from the Pastor
Welcome to New Hope Lutheran in Blanco, Texas.
New Hope began in 2007 when a group of local Lutherans who wanted to keep the ELCA in Blanco began meeting informally. In 2008, Mary Louise "Skip" Brasher was ordained and installed as our first pastor. Pastor Skip retired at the end of May 2012.
New Hope
is a small but growing, enthusiastic group of Lutherans engaged in Christian worship, spreading the Good News, and lending a hand, along with other local churches, in serving our community in a number of ways. We meet on Sunday mornings for refreshments at 9:00 am, and worship at 9:30 am.
Our Pastor:
Pastor Ann Koopmann has joined New Hope, effective September, 2017. We welcome her as we continiue to grow and serve at New Hope Lutheran Community.

Our Music Ministry:
Small and new churches frequently have trouble getting started with a music ministry.
Not so at New Hope, as we are uniquely blessed with having a small group of very talented musicians. During the time before most weekly services,as well as during offering and Communion distribution, the beautiful strains of a Celtic harp encourage contemplation and meditation. Hymns are generally led by one or more talented musicians, and special music at New Hope is provided by a closely matched set of voices supported by guitars and/or organ. New members are welcome to join in this ministry.
Medical Equipment Ministry:
During the more than 20 years that All Faiths Chapel occupied the location where New Hope meets today, its members created and maintained a ministry that provides equipment to local residents who have special medical needs. The storage building on the property houses wheelchairs, walkers, powered hospital beds, braces of many different types, crutches, breathing assistance equipment, and assorted other items. These are available on a no-charge basis with a checkout list. New Hope has committed itself to continuing this ministry in conjunction with the people who founded All Faiths. If you have a need, call either Connie Granberg: 512-757-4633, or Alan Cooper: 833-4301.
